This image is based on the dog statues in Victoria Park, Bow. My son and I had a magical walk in the park one evening whilst it was snowing. I loved the Narnia like feel of the snow caught in the street lamp, falling on the statue.

The reduction linocut method uses a single piece of lino. Each layer of colour is produced by cutting away areas and printing what remains. This process is continued until the print is complete. Each edition of prints takes many weeks to complete. A reduction print can never be reprinted as once an area has been cut away it can’t be reversed. I mainly print lino’s at home in my kitchen.

Due to the hand printed nature of the printing process small variations can occur in each layer making each print a unique piece of artwork.
