This is an area along the Regents Canal that I often walk with my dog on the way to Victoria Park. On this particular day the sunlight was catching the willows giving them an orange hue which contrasted with the blue of the sky and the barge.
 
My screen prints involve multiple layers exposed onto screens combining my own sketches of local scenes with layers of colour and texture created from mark making and block relief printing. Each edition of prints takes many weeks to complete. I work partly in a local printmaking studio where they have a screen exposure unit and also at home in my kitchen.
 
Due to the hand printed nature of the printing process small variations can occur in each layer making each print a unique piece of artwork.
